At Mandalay Holiday Resort we’re committed to running our park in a way that reduces our environmental footprint and make family holidays more sustainable, such as;

At Mandalay Holiday Resort we’re committed to running our park in a way that reduces our environmental footprint and make family holidays more sustainable, such as;

• Moving to digital check in/check out procedures to eliminate wastepaper

• Replacing all lighting with low energy use LEDs

• Conducted an energy audit to identify further options to reduce our energy use.

• Adopting lower emission equipment by replacing a gas pool heater with a heat pump to reduce energy use.

• Reduce wastewater by installing water saving showerheads and tap fittings. We inspect the property for leaks, then check and change any leaking tap fittings.

• Eliminating single use plastics throughout our business by switching to bathroom product dispensers in all accommodation

• We are using bio-degradable and environmentally sensitive cleaning and bathroom products.

• Reduce waste to landfill by recycling guest and business waste and collect bottles and cans. Funding from bottles and cans are donated to appropriate charities (Starlight Foundation).

• Organic fertilisers used for garden and landscaping throughout the resort, as well as cultivating and growing a population of over 650 mature WA Peppermint Trees, and hundreds more medium to small WA Peppermint Trees on the property.
