Busselton Whale Watching Season
The Humpback Whales are back in Geographe Bay!! Busselton Whale Watching season runs each year from September to November. Cruises depart Port Geographe Marina and the Busselton Jetty daily, weather permitting.
And there are plenty of them according to the daily Whale Watching reports we receive from some of the local tour companies. Humpback, Southern Right, Minke and Blue Whales use our little corner of the world as a nursery, playground and rest haven during their migration up and down the coast each year.
After breeding in the warmer waters up north, the Humpbacks and their calves are heading south to Arctic waters. The whales use Geographe Bay as their annual last resting area before the long swim. See Humpback Whales breaching, tail slapping and spy-hopping.
If you’re a land lover, then there are some beautiful walks for you can take around the bay where you might catch a glimpse of one of these wonderful creatures. Both Dolphins and Seals are also regularly sighted
